Necropolis

The necropolis of Tyre is located to the west of the city and is accessed through the triumphal arch of Al-Bass. It is situated on both sides of a Roman avenue and is composed of the remains of two distinct eras: The Roman and Byzantine necropolis dates from the 2nd to 6th century C.E., and the Phoenician necropolis of the 9th century B.C.E.
